First Semester - August/December

 

Kindergarten

    The students worked turning on the computer, logging in, mouse control, inserting CDs, how to open icons, getting around a website, and a drawing program.

First Grade

       First Grade students worked on moving around a program, opening icons, inserting CD Roms, learning the Parts of a Computer, beginning typing skills; left and right hand side of keyboard and introduced to where all the keys are, typing in MS Word, saving on the Desktop, getting around a website, internet safety and a reading program.

Second Semester - First Grade

Students will be using the program Kidspiration to as a graphic organizer and to publish their writing.

 

Second Grade

       The students learned the Parts of a Computer, beginning keyboarding skills, getting around a website, saving and retrieving work from the server, activites using Microsoft Word, internet safety, and a math program.

 Second Semester - Second Grade

The students will be researching their animals and publish their information in a powerpoint presentation.

 

Third Grade

       The students reviewed the Parts of a Computer and their definitions, keyboarding skills, finding their way around the district webpage to find my websites, saving and retrieving work from the server, internet safety, producing, typing and editing Halloween stories and Thanksgiving rebus stories.

Second Semester - Third Grade

The students will research Kansas information and publish their information in a powerpoint presentation.          

 

 

Fourth Grade

        The fourth grade students learned parts of the computer and their definitions, keyboarding skills with keyboards covered, finding their way around the district webpage to find my websites, saving and retrieving work from the server, internet safety, producing, typing, and editing Halloween stories and Thanksgiving rebus stories.

Second Semester - Fourth Grade

The students will be working in cooperative groups collecting data, creating a spreadsheet and graph using the data, using email to collect data from the fourth graders at Martin to extend their spreadsheet and graphs.

 

Fifth Grade

            The fifth grade students learned parts of the computer and their definitions, keyboarding skills with keyboards covered, finding their way around the district webpage to find my websites, saving and retrieving work from the server, internet safety, working with tables and downloading pictures in word, producing, typing and editing Halloween stories and Thanksgiving rebus stories.

Second Semester - Fifth Grade

The students are going to make a movie of Kansas using Windows Movie Maker
